Lakshmi and Kubera with His Wife

Picture also shows the Wish-Fulfilling Tree (Kalpavrishka) and Kamendhenu (Wish-Fulfilling Cow) which came out of the Milky Ocean

Call Recording: Lakshmi, Kubera and Discussion

Mytho-therapy:

Kubera

Kubera is the God of Wealth, the Banker of Heaven, and the God-King of the Semi-Divine Yakshas. He is also a regent of the North (one of the Dik Palayakayas), and a protector of the world (Lokapala). He is the Overlord of many Semi-Divine species, and owner of the treasures of the world. He is often   depicted as a fat man, adorned in jewels,  carrying a money pot (or bag), and a club. His name Kubera / Kuvera, means deformed and refers to his deformities, but also splits into Ku meaning earth, and Vira meaning hero.

The Vedic scriptures tell that Kubera was an Asura and once ruled Lanka, but was overthrown by his stepbrother Ravana. He resettled in the city of Alaka in the Himalayas, near Mt Kailash (Siva’s Abode). Kubera is described as a friend of Lord Siva, who granted him Kingship over the Yakshas. Descriptions of the glories and splendors are recounted in many of the Puranic scriptures. Kubera is depicted as a dwarf, with a fair complexion, and big belly. He has 3 legs, only 8 teeth, one eye, 3 heads, 4 arms, and is adorned with jewels. He holds a mace (a club), a pomegranate, and a money bag in his hands. Sometimes he is seen riding a man, or mongoose.

In Tibet, the mongoose signifies his victory over the Nagas who are the Guardians of Treasures of the world. He is adorned with golden clothes and ornaments symbolizing his wealth. His Left eye is yellow and he wears armor and a large necklace down to his large belly. His face is inclined to the Left, he has a beard and a mustache, and 2 tusks protrude from the ends of his mouth, representing his ability to punish and bestow favors. His club, represents Administration of Justice and his standard bears a lion, representing Artha (wealth).

Kubera has 9 occult treasures that belong to him. They are referred to as Nawanidhi, or Nav Nidhi. Each is personified by a guardian spirit.

Mantras for Kubera (set your intent: “I am creating wealth for the world”)

Swarna Rajadas Srajam (invokes aspect of Lakshmi with gold and silver garlands; Dr. Pillai has said Kubera used this mantra and became the Banker in Heaven)

Kuberaya Vaisravanaya Maha Rajaya Namaha (Dr. Pillai has said these sounds give wealth and royalty consciousness)

Lakshmi Shobana

Call Recording: Lakshmi, Vadivudai and Other Discussion

Mytho-therapy:

Lakshmi Shobane

Per Dr. Pillai: Approximately 400 years ago there was an acclaimed Madhva Saint named Vadiraja living in Southern India in the state of Kannada. He was fully enlightened, had many Miraculous Siddhi powers, and lived for about 120 years. One day he was visiting a city where the Mayor was preparing for his daughter’s wedding. Unfortunately the bridegroom was bitten by a snake and despite all efforts, he died. The Mayor was told that Vadiraja had just arrived and could restore the boy’s life. The Mayor asked Vadiraja to help in this matter. Vadiraja immediately composed a Hymn to Goddess Lakshmi recounting her Wedding to Lord Vishnu at the time she arose from out of the Milky Ocean. Anyhow, Lakshmi appeared and he requested that she revive the boy. She did and the wedding was carried out.

Lakshmi’s energy promotes auspicious activities. Everything auspicious belongs to Lakshmi, even the word Lakshmi means auspicious. Everything that’s going to give good fortune, joy, and happiness belongs to Lakshmi.

Every word he uses is charged with that power and I have been thinking about it for approximately 3 years. The time has not been right to introduce it to people, until now 2013.

~~~   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~
I leased a building in a powerful temple vortex and we’ll have the ceremony where the women come and chant this Hymn and light the ghee lamps, accompanied by a very special, very powerful Lakshmi Homa. I want people to be able to come spend time here a receive the benefits. I look forward to this program called Lakshmi Shobanam by the great Mystic Saint, Vadiraja. The AstroVed people will make announcements regarding this at the appropriate time.
The Shobanam Hymn is comprised of 112 verses recounting the events of Lakshmi’s Wedding to Lord Vishnu. Hearing this reminds her of her own joy at the time of her wedding. Shobana means Mangala or auspicious. Lakshmi is Sarva Mangala, which means she is not only the Goddess of wealth, but all powerful, and capable of bestowing longevity. That was the power of St. Vadiraja’s Hymn and Goddess Lakshmi was obliged to revive the bridegroom.
Also note that the Tamil Month of Aadi (this year 2014 from Jul 15th to Aug 15th), is very special to Lakshmi, especially the Fridays. There are 4 Aadi Fridays where you can receive special ‘Blessings’ from Lakshmi.
It’s always auspicious to chant and or write ‘Shreem Brzee’ 108 or 1008 times. (This chant is cumulative.) And to burn AstroVed’s Friday Incense for Venus/and Lakshmi.
Vadivudai Amman is a Goddess of Beauty, both inner and outer. One mantra for her is
Om Sri Vaidivooday Nayaki Swaha
For Help From Goddess To Do Tapas (Disciplined Practice):
Om Kanambhikaya Vidh Mahe
Sarva Siddhicha Dhi Mahi
Tanno Gauri Prachodayat
There is free virtual pooja for Vadivudai Amman on this page at AstroVed:
Lakshmi with Elephants
Call Recording: Lakshmi, Purity and Other Discussion
Mytho-therapy:
Lakshmi’s Appearance and Symbolism Lakshmi in her images and pictures is depicted as a female inform with 4 arms and 4 hands, She usually wears red clothes with a golden lining and is either seated or standing on a lotus. She has golden coins and lotuses in her hands. She is frequently pictured with 2 or 4 elephants next to her.
This symbolism conveys the following spiritual theme:
~ Her 4 arms represent 4 directions in space and signify her omnipresence and omnipotence. The red color of her clothing signifies activity and the golden lining signifies prosperity. The lotus signifies that while living in this world one should enjoy the wealth, but not become obsessed with it.
~ Her 4 hands represent the 4 aims of life: Dharma (righteousness); Kama (genuine desires); Artha (wealth); and Moksha (liberation from birth and death). Her front hands represent activity in the material world, and her back hands represent spiritual activities that lead to spiritual perfection.
~~~   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~   ~~~ ~

Since the right side of the body signifies activity, a lotus in her back right hand signifies that you should perform all duties in accordance to Dharma. This leads to Moksha which is symbolized be the lotus held in her back left hand. The golden coins falling from her front left hand signifies she provides wealth and prosperity for her devotees. Her front right hand bestows Blessings.

~ The 2 elephants pictured beside her signify name and fame that is associated with worldly wealth. The idea portrayed here is that one should not acquire wealth for name and fame and only for one’s self, but share it with to bring happiness to others in addition to himself.

~ Some pictures show 4 elephants spraying water on Lakshmi from Golden Vessels. This illustrates the theme that continuous self-effort in accordance with one’s Dharma, governed by wisdom and purity leads to both material and spiritual prosperity.

Note: Lakshmi does not stay long with anyone who is lazy or seeks her only for material wealth.

Invoke Lakshmi by chanting: OM SHREEM BRZEE

Mantras for invoking Lakshmi for Purity:

Om Sarva Papa Hare (invokes aspect of Lakshmi for dissolving sins, including financial sins)

Harineem (a name of Lakshmi, invoking her in the aspect of Purity)

Mantra for Goal-Orientation: Om Iccha Shakti Uma Kumari (brings energy of authentic desire, especially for people who may not in be in touch with what they really want)

For Narasimha (Lion-faced form of Vishnu) JAYA JAYA NARASIMHAYA NAMAHA

Lakshmi Goddess of Wealth, Beauty, Grace and Purity, Ruler of Venus

Call Recording: Lakshmi and Other Discussion May 3 2014

Mytho-therapy:

Lakshmi

Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth (both spiritual and material), prosperity and good fortune. Her name is derived from the Sanskrit word Laksme which means goal, and refers to the goal of life which includes worldly as well as spiritual prosperity. In Hindu mythology she is also called ‘Shri’ and is the Divine spouse or consort of Vishnu. She provides him with the wealth for the maintenance and preservation of this creation.

Mythology: Lakshmi was the daughter of the Maharishi Bhrigu and she took refuge in the ocean of milk when the Gods were sent into exile. During the churning of the Milky Ocean, which was a joint effort by both Gods and demons to bring forth the Nectar of Immortality, Lakshmi reappeared. She was so beautiful and all of the Gods fell in love with her. Shiva had already taken the Moon, Bramha had already taken Saraswati, so her hand was given to Vishnu, whom Lakshmi herself preferred. She is a Goddess of Light, beauty, good fortune and wealth. Diwali, the Festival of Light, is a special time of worship for her.

Muruga Teaching Secrets of OM to Siva

Call Recording: Muruga and Other Discussion

Mytho-therapy:

At one time Maharishi Brighu knew the secret of Om and was trying to destroy the world. Lord Siva prevented this act by placing his hands over Brighu’s head and saying: ‘You must forget the Om mantra.’ At that instant the secret of Omkara mantra faded from his memory. Brighu realized what was happening and in turn cursed Siva saying: ‘You will forget the Om mantra too.’ And Siva forgot the secret of Om as well.  Later on Siva went to Muruga and asked him to teach the secret of the Omkara mantra to him.  Muruga agreed explaining that Siva would have to be his student. Siva agreed, and Muruga whispered the secret of Om in his father’s ear. This is the history of the vortex of the Muruga temple at Swamimalai.

Dr. Pillai teaches Om as Ah, Oo, Ma:

  • Ah represents Siva,
  • Oo represents Shakti
  • Ma represents Maya

Even just using one of these syllables manifests great power.

Muruga’s 6 Heads:

Muruga’s 6 Heads represent 6 parts of the brain as well as 6 Siddhis.  These represent the 5 faces of Siva and the Face of Uma Devi or Parvati, which can only be seen by the wise. He is able to see North, South, East West Sky and Earth. These faces represent the 5 senses which lead to the 6th sense, or inner knowing, the Atho-mugam.

The 6 faces mantra is: SA RA VA NA BA VA

Forehead: Tatpurushaya

Top of Head: Ishanaya

Right Brain: Aghora Hridayaya

Left Brain: Vama Devaya

Back of Brain (Occipital Lobe): Sadyojataya

3rd Eye, Pineal Gland Atho-mugam

Muruga as Prachanda Skanda Can Give Gift of Unshakeable Faith

Call Recording: Muruga, Nature of Nakshatras and How It Affects Compatability

Muruga or Skanda is the God of the Pleiades, the God of Light, who is going to give a break for all humanity. The Siddhas have revealed that humans have a weakness and are frustrated with God because things aren’t happening. This weakness is they lack 100% faith, This particular form of Muruga is called Prachanda Skandaya. He can give you a tremendous amount of trust or faith. With 100% Faith you can move mountains. Once that faith is established everything will happen.  So faith is very crucial. His mantra to access his energy and acquire 100% faith is:

Om Tripura Samhara Prachanda Skandaya Namaha

Muruga comes to the Earth plane to give us incredible ‘Blessings’. That “Blessing is to stop the mind.  Patanjali says it clearly in his Yoga Sutra. The first teaching of the Yoga Sutra is to stop the mind. Yoga is stopping the mind.   When you stop the mind you have access to a tremendous amount of energy which can give you omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. Muruga can give this to you if he wants to. He gave it to Arunagiri when he prevented his suicide.

The mantra is:

Summa Iru Sollara’

which means : ‘Be still, without words’.

Muruga’s Gayathri is another powerful way to connect to Muruga:

Om Karthikeyaya Vidh Mahe

Shakti Hastaya Dhi Mahi

Tanna Skanda Prachodyat

~ This mantra creates or builds an armor around us that protects us from our enemies and gives us courage to face them.

One area of compatability in relationships is to evaluate the nature of the star (Nakshatra) someone’s Moon is in as well as the nature of the star (Nakshatra) of their partner.

People who have stars with the same nature have an excellent degree of compatability in this area:

  • Deva/Deva
  • Human/Human
  • Rakshasa/Rakshasa

People who have one partner with a star with nature of Human and one partner with a star of another nature have OK compatability in this area:

  • Deva/Human
  • Rakshasa/Human

People who have one partner with a star with nature of Deva and a star with nature of Rakshasa are evaluate as not having compatability in this area:

  • Deva/Rakshasa

You can run your own birth chart and that of your partner for free at www.AstroVed.com and then look up the nature of your stars with this table:

If you recite this mantra 1008 x’s/ day for 40 days, it can set in motion things that will help clear up debts! It is also very beneficial to light a candle or ghee lamp before a picture, or even better yet, a statue or yantra of Muruga, to burn Mars (Tues.)
