“NAMES OF THE SUN

The Sun has more names than any other of the Grahas, which is no surprise since the Sun is the most obvious object in the sky and a daily object of worship of the ancient Vedic culture. The most common name of the Sun is Surya “the Supreme Light,” though the Sun is also commonly referred to as Ravi “the Fire Bird,” as the hot object soaring through the sky. Another very commonly used name of the Sun is Arka, “the ray,” as the prime illuminating ray of light and heat.

The Sun is also known as Aditya “the Son of Aditi,” Aditi being the mother of the gods whose name refers to the ideals of freedom, boundlessness, perfection and infinity. Thus the Sun represents these qualities to the greatest capacity that they can be achieved.

The role of the Sun as the cause of the day is emphasized by his names Dinakrit, Dinakarta and Divakara, all which mean “the maker of the day.” As the producer of day, the Sun banishes the darkness of night as well as the darkness of the ignorance of the self. The Sun as Dinesha “the lord of the day,” repeats this idea and as Tamohanta, “darkness killing,” confirms the idea.

Sunlight is known to purify and thus the Sun is known as Pusha and Pushan, both of which mean “the best purifier.” The Sun does this in the horoscope by representing the purifying fire of the body as well as representing the inexorable self that brings about the eventual purification of all our actions and desires.

The Sun is Savita, “the vivifier,” as that which energizes and propels everything; as Ina, “the powerful,” as that which holds the greatest power over the Earth as the cause of the seasons, weather and even the course of the Earth, and as that which holds the greatest power in the horoscope.

The Sun, being the soul, is also Hamsa, “swan.” Swans are a symbol for the soul. The whiteness of the swan represents the purity of the soul, while the migratory nature of the swan represents the soul’s migration.

The Sun is Mitra, a child of Aditi and the ruler of the Saura (solar) month of Sagittarius. Mitra means friend, and this name of the Sun symbolizes that the only true friend is the soul. As one discoverers their soul nature, they thus become a friend to all – those who have reached the goal of self-discovery are the true friends of mankind. The Sun is also Shura, “hero,” giving the capacity to rise above oneself in order to fulfill great deeds.

Obvious names of the Sun are Tikshnamsha, “hot rayed,” Tapana, “the burning,” Prabhakara, “radiance maker,” Bhanu, “light” and Bhaskara, “the light maker.” A more colorful name of the Sun is Aruna, which is the reddish color in the sky at dawn that the Sun is responsible for. Divamani, “the day jewel,” and Dyumani, “the sky jewel,” reveal the esteem value of the Sun and all that it represents. Finally, of especial interest to astrologers, the Sun is known as Graharajna and Grahapati, the king and lord of the Grahas, which, of course, all circle the Sun.

A surprising name of the Sun mentioned in the medieval Vedic Astrological texts is Heli, a Greek name for the Sun. Though the Sun is not referred to this name in the Sutras giving astrological techniques and Yogas, it is often mentioned by this name, along with other names, in the lists of planetary names given in several  texts, most notably Brihat Jataka. The fact that this name of the Sun is found in the Indian astrological texts gives a hint of the interchange that took place between the learned men of the Greeks and the learned men living on the Indian subcontinent during the centuries following Alexander the Great.”

Vishnu as Matsya Avatar (Form of Fish)

In the early Vedic accounts of the great Deluge, the principle characters are Matsya, a fish, and Vaivasvata Manu (Satyavrata). One day Vaivasvata Manu was bathing and caught a small fish in his hands. The fish asks Manu for life and protection, and in return he will save him from the great impending flood. Vaivasvata Manu agrees and Matsya tells him to keep him in an earthenware jar of water and keep him safe. When Matsya outgrew the jar, he asked Vaivasvata Manu to dig a pit and fill it with water and to place him in it. When Matsya out grew the pit filled with water, he told Vaivasvata to release him in the ocean, as he is now big enough to survive, he will be indestructible, and will help Vaivasvata Manu survive the impending flood. Meanwhile he instructs Vaivasvata Manu to build a boat.

The deluge arrives on time as predicted. Vaivasvata boards the boat and the waters rise to cover the earth. Vaivasvata called to Matsya for help. Matsya swims to the boat and Vaivasvata Manu ties a rope to the large horn that has grown from the top of Matsya’s head and with great force Matsya then tows the boat to the highest dry ground in the north, interpreted as the Himalayas. Vaivasvata Manu ties the boat to a tree and gradually descends the mountain as the flood waters recede. He finds himself the sole survivor, as all others have been washed away by the floods.

Vaivasvata then takes on the task of creating the new human race. Seeking procreativity he begins austerities and worshipping the Gods via Homas. Within a year his prayers were answered, and a beautiful woman named Shraddha appeared. He married her and they started the race of Manu, the Aryans.

Vaivasvata Manu was the son of the Sun God Vivasvan (Surya), and a powerful Rishi, and through the power of his austerities, he began creating the new human race.

So Vishnu, as the Matsya Avatar, took incarnation as a fish and saved the seeds of all life and Manu at the time of the Mahapralaya, or Great Deluge.

Dr. Pillai has said that the seeds of all life were contained in a Golden Vessel floating on the water and when the time was right, Siva shot the pot with an arrow releasing the seeds and life on earth began again at Kumbakonam and that is why he feels so at home and happy when he is there.

Call Recording: Avatars of Vishnu and Other Discussion

The 1st 4 Avatars of Vishnu appeared in the Satya Yuga (or prior Golden Age), the next 3 appeared in the Treta Yuga, the 8th the Dwapara Yuga, and the 10th to defeat the wicked, liberate the virtuous, and initiate a new Satya, or Kalki Yuga. At that time the Supreme Godhead will appear on the earth acting with pure spiritual goodness. He will rescue eternal religion, restoring Dharma. The Supreme Soul of all will take a birth to protect the principles of dharma and to relieve His saintly devotees from the reactions of material work.

1) Matsya, the Fish – Vishnu take the form of a fish to save Manu from the apocalypse, He takes His boat to the new world long with one of every plant and animal gathered in a great cyclone.

2) Kurma, the Tortoise. — When the Devas and Asuras were churning the Ocean of Milk in order to get the Amrita, the nectar of Immortality, the Mt Mandara that they were using as a churning staff, began to sink. Lord Vishnu took the form of a tortoise to support its weight.

3) Varaha, the Boar. – Lord Vishnu appeared to defeat Demon Hiranyaksha who had taken control of earth and carried it to the bottom of the Cosmic Ocean. The battle waged on for a thousand years. Varaha, the victor, then carried earth upwards on his tusks and restored it to its place in the Universe.

4) Narasimha, the Lion-man. – The rakshasa (an evil person), Demon King Hiranyakashippu, (the elder brother of Hiranyaksha who was killed by Varaha), acquired a boon from Brahma that he could not be killed by man or animal, inside or out, neither day nor night, on earth or the stars, nor by a weapon that was either living or inanimate. So Vishnu descended in an anthropomorphic form, with the body of a man and head and claws of a lion. He kills King Hiranyakashippu with his lion’s claws, at the courtyard threshold of his house while lying across his thighs.

5) Vamana, the Dwarf. – Bali, the 4th Hiranyaksha, was able to defeat Indra with devotion and penance. He then extended his authority over the 3 Worlds, and the Deities appealed to Vishnu for help. Vishnu descended as the dwarf, Vamana. During a yagna of King Bali. Bali was pleased to see the diminutive holy man and promised him whatever he wanted. Vamana asked for 3 paces of land. Bali agreed and the dwarf expanded his size to that of a giant. He stepped over Heaven in his first stride, and the Netherworld with the second stride. Bali then realized that Vamana was Vishnu incarnate. In deference, the King offered his head as the third place for Vamana to place his foot. The Avatar did so and granted Bali immortality. Then in appreciation to Bali, and Bali’s grandfather Prahalada, Vamana made Bali the ruler of the Netherworld. Bali is believed to have ruled Kerala and Tulunadu. He is still worshipped there as the King of Prosperity, and honored before the harvest.

6) Parasurama, Warrior with an Axe which he received from Siva. Brahmin-Kshatriya in Hinduism, or warrior-saint. He is the son of Jamadagni (Brahmin) and Renuka (Renuka – Parasurama is the 1st of the Kshatriya clan that ruled Ayodhya and was in the ancestral lineage of Rama). King Kartavirya Suryavenshi visited Jamadagni at his Ashram and the Saint was able to feed them through the Blessings of Kamadehnu, the celestial, wish-fulfilling cow. The King demanded Kamadehnu for himself, and when Jamadagni refused, the King took the celestial cow by force and destroyed the ashram. Parasurama then killed the King at his palace and destroyed the army. The sons of the king then killed Jamadagni. Parasurama vowed to kill the Kshatriyas 21 x’s over, and filled 3 lakes with their blood. Ultimately his grandfather, the great Rucheeka, appeared and made him halt. He is still alive today as a Chiranjivi (meaning no samadhi) at Mahendragiri.

7) Rama, or Ramachandra, the Prince, and King of Ayodhya, is thought of as the ideal heroic man and his story is recounted in the Ramayana. While in exile from his kingdom with his brother Lakshman, the Monkey God hanuman, and his wife Sita. Sita was abducted by the Demon Ravana and taken to Sri Lanka. Rama with the help of Hanuman, and Lakshman, set off to Lanka, killed the Demon King Ravana, and rescued Sita.

8 Krishna was the 8th commonly worshipped Deity in Hinduism. He appeared with his elder brother Balarama (an avatar incarnation of Shesha Naga).

9) Gautama Buddha. The Founder of Buddhism, teacher of ahimsa (non-violence), and The 8 Fold Path to attain Nirvana.

10) Kalki Avatar (meaning Eternity, White horse, and destroyer of evil) is the final incarnation of Vishnu and foretold to appear at the end of the Kali Yuga. He will be atop a white horse with his sword drawn, blazing like a comet. He will destroy all of the unrighteous and evil and usher in the Satya Yuga, the Golden Age of Truth. son of Devaki and Vasudeva and is the most

Vishnu’s Symbolism (Vishnu is the ruler of Mercury)

The 4 hands of Vishnu express dominion over the 4 directions of space.

They also symbolize the 4 stages of human life referred to as the 4 ashrams.

1) The quest for knowledge –Brahmacharaya.

2) Family Life –Grihasta

3) Retreat into the Forest- Vana-Prastha

4) Renunciation – Sannyasa

They also represent the 4 aims of life, the Purushartha:

1) Duty and Virtue – Dharma

2) Material goods, Wealth, Success – Artha

3) Pleasure, Sexuality, Enjoyment – Kama

4) Liberation – Moksha Likewise the 4 arms represent the 4 castes and the 4 Vedas.

Further, Lord Vishnu holds the following implements in his hands:

1) Conch – blowing the conch symbolizes the primordial creative voice and Indian Mysticism relates it to the sacred sound ‘OM’, which is said to be the breath of Vishnu, pervading all space. Its various convolutions are said to represent the rising and setting sun, thus further cementing Vishnu’s solar associations. The conch has the form of a multiple spiral evolving from one point into ever increasing spheres, denoting eternity since it can go on forever.

2) Discus or Chakra – The ancient texts, the Vishnu Purana, ‘identifies the chakra with the human mind, whose thoughts, like the chakra, flow faster than even the mightiest wind.’ When used as a weapon, the distinguishing feature of the chakra is  its ability to  return to the hand that throws it. The only other weapon known to have this ability is the boomerang. Perhaps this is a pointer to the cyclic nature of existence. A parallel with the water wheel, representing the constant and cyclic interplay of irreconcilable activities (duality). The water wheel both empties and fills its vessels, turning without end to bring up water and disgorge it onto the forever parched fields. As life fills and empties due to forces innate in nature. This is the constant and rhythmic turning of the Wheel of Life.

3) The Lotus – When Vishnu contemplated the creation of mankind, a lotus sprang up out of his navel. Seated on this lotus was the four- headed Brahma illuminating all of the directions with his brightness. Vishnu is therefore also known as Padmanabha, or the one with the lotus navel. This lotus lit up the sky with its effulgence and was identified with the sun. As it was the creative matrix from which all of the world eventually evolved. The lotus therefore became a symbol of creation and fertility. By rising from the depths of the ocean, where there are said to dwell impure creatures like demons and serpents, the lotus expresses purity. Likewise does the individual soul, while rooted in an imperfect world, it searches for perfection. The lotus held in his hand, denotes the Goddess Lakshmi, from whom he derives his powers. Lakshmi the Goddess of Prosperity, sits on a lotus and holds lotuses in her hands. Thus the lotus represents the feminine force that activates the creative power of Lord Vishnu.

The lotus further signifies the yogic ideal of detachment. This is because even though this beautiful flower grows in muddy waters, no water or dirt or are seen sticking to its petals. It portrays Vishnu’s  message of partaking of the pleasures of this world without  becoming ensnared by them.

4) The Mace – There once lived a mighty demon who was intoxicated with his prowess on the battlefield, who wreaked havoc on mankind. Finally Vishnu decided to provide humanity some relief from this demons’ activities. Gada was known for his valor, as well as for his charitable inclination. It was said he would not refuse a a boon to any individual no matter how unreasonable the request might be. Vishnu approached Gada as a Brahmin and asked: ‘If you are so generous as you claim to be can you give me your bones?’ Gada immediately tore open his body and gave him his bones from which the celestial artist, Ribhus, fashioned a mace for Vishnu. Vishnu thus acquired an invincible weapon for himself and relief for humanity. The mace is called ‘Gada’ in honor of this demon.

The mace represents the Power of Time at the metaphysical level. Just as nothing can conquer Time, the Mace too is unconquerable and destroys those who oppose it. As such, the mace is identified with the Goddess Kali, who is the Power of Time. The Krishna Upanishad says: ’The Mace is Kali, the Power of Time, and it destroys all that oppose it.’

Vishnu describes himself: ‘The world rests like the lotus in the palm of my hand, the cosmos revolves around my little finger like a discus. I blow the music of life through my conch, and wield my mace to protect all creatures.’

Vishnu

Vishnu is the all-pervading essence of all beings and master of-and beyond- the past, present, and future, the creator and destroyer of all existences, the one who supports, preserves, sustains and governs the universe, originates and develops all elements therein.

Vishnu’s eternal supreme abode beyond the material universe is called Vaikuntha. It is the realm of eternal bliss and happiness and the final or highest place for liberated souls who have attained Moksha. Vishnu’s other abode within the material universe is called Ksheera Saagara, the ocean of milk, where he reclines on Ananta Shesha, the King of serpents with 1000 heads, along with his consort, Goddess Lakshmi.

Mythology: Lord Shiva who represents Supreme Power, Supreme God Energy, produced Vishnu from his internal energy, who then produced Brahma. For the creation of humankind, Shiva asked Vishnu to produce the most important element to make this possible. Vishnu produced water from his body and is seen resting in water on Sheshnag. Through his navel a lotus grew up and a seed inside gave birth to Brahma who traveled and traveled for years in the stem to find the truth and his originator, but could not find one. Finally Lord Vishnu appeared before him and asked him to make life possible in the form of different Lokas, or Planets. That’s why Brahma is always pictured seating on a lotus.

Brahma founded Brahmand and different Lokas inside it, one of which is Mrityu Loka better known as earth. He then produced Prajapatis from his body for them to begin life on earth. The Prajapatis had a major role in originating various other planets and satellites indispensable for mankind.

Ashta Lakshmis refer to 8 specialized aspects of Shri Lakshmi The Goddess of Wealth. She presides over 8 sources of wealth meaning: prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, children, and power.
The prayer Ashta Lakshmi Stotram lists the 8 Lakshmis as:
~ Adi Lakshmi or Maha Lakshmi, an ancient form of Lakshmi and daughter of Brighu
~ Dhana Lakshmi – Money Lakshmi for money and gold
~ Dhanya Lakshmi, Goddess of grain, giver of Agricultural Wealth
~ Gaja Lakshmi, Elephant Lakshmi, giver of animal wealth like cattle, and elephants. Also as the power of royalty, and worshipped by elephants. In Hindu Mythology, Lakshmi brought back the wealth lost by Indra, the King of the Gods lost in the Milky Ocean.
~ Santana Lakshmi, Progeny Lakshmi, bestower of children.
~ Veera Lakshmi, Valorous Lakshmi, or Dairya Lakshmi, Courageous Lakshmi. Bestower of valor in battles and courage and strength for overcoming difficulties in life.
~ Vijaya Lakshmi, Victorious Lakshmi, or Jaya Lakshmi. Bestower of victory not only in battles but in conquering hurdles in order to beget success.
~ Vidya Lakshmi, Knowledge Lakshmi. Bestower of the knowledge of the Arts and Sciences.
Alternates include:
~ Aishwarya Lakshmi, Prosperity Lakshmi: Bestower of riches.
~ Saubaghya Lakshmi, Lakshmi of Good Fortune. Giver of Prosperity in General
~ Rajya Lakshmi, Royal Lakshmi. Blesses rulers with secular power.

~ Vara Lakshmi, Boon Lakshmi. She who bestows beautiful boons.

The Ashta Lakshmi Temples are relatively new and parallel the rise of the Ashta Lakshmi Stotram (prayer) which was originally written by Sri Adi Shankararcharya.

There is a powerful, complex symbol called Star of Lakshmi which is a complex star figure comprised of two interlocking squares with their centers at 45 degree angles, and represents the Ashta Lakshmis.
At the Ashta Lakshmi temple in Chennai, the 8 Lakshmis in 8 shrines are positioned clockwise with Maha Lakshmi and Vishnu together in a 9th shrine, unlike the traditional separate shrines.

Sri Yantra

Call Recording: Sri Yantra and Lakshmi/Kubera Yantra and Discussion

Lakshmi’s Shri Yantra & Lakshmi/Kubera Yantra

Shri Yantra refers to sacred instrument. This yantra is formed by 9 interlocking triangles surrounding or radiating out from a central point or bindu which represents the point between the physical universe and its invisible, unmanifest source. There are 4 isosceles triangles with the apices pointing upward representing Siva or the Masculine energy, and 5 isosceles triangles pointing downward representing the Female Creative Energy, or Shakti.

Thus the Shri Yantra also represents the union of the Divine Masculine and Feminine (Siva/Shakti). The bindu is the power point in the middle and focal point for meditation representing the invisible, the elusive center from which the figure and the cosmos expand. The 9 intersecting triangles are enclosed by two rows of 8 and 16 petals respectively, representing the Lotus of Creation and the reproductive vital force. The broken lines of the outer frame denote the figure to be a sanctuary with 4 openings to the regions of the universe.

Together the 9 triangles are interlaced to form 43 smaller triangles in a web symbolic of the entire cosmos or the cosmic womb of creation. All together they express Advaitya or Non-duality. This is surrounded by Lotuses with 8 and 16 petals within an earth square resembling a temple with 4 doors. The Devi Khadgamala is the mantra that describes the various deities residing in the 9 layers. The Shri Yantra is the main object of devotion in Sri Vidya, a Hindu Tantric practice.

The aims for worship of this yantra are for both Material Prosperity and Self-Realization

A Lakshmi / Kubera Yantra brings luck and luxury, money and prosperity. Lord Kubera and Lakshmi symbolize material wealth and riches, and bring you ‘Blessings’ when you worship them. It can get rid of misfortunes and bring you monetary gains. Having the yantra in your home will bring ‘Blessings’ to the house. The money can come from unexpected places.

A yantra is a conductor of energy and the Astroved yantras have been energized by priests in India by giving offerings and mantras during special fire labs.

To work with your yantra, Astroved recommends that:

1) You take a shower and put on clean clothes

2) Place the yantra facing East or North

3) Don’t let others touch the yantra so that you can connect with its special energy

4) Periodically wash with Rose water and milk, rinse with water and pat dry. Venus Hora or at midnight on Fridays would be the best times. Pouring liquids over the yantra will cause it to change color. That makes it even stronger.

5) Place dots of sandalwood paste on the 4 corners and in the center. (Mix a small amount of water with Sandalwood powder to make the paste._

6) Light a candle or ghee lamp, burn Astroved Venus/Friday Incense, and offer it fruit and flowers.

7) Chant Om Shreem Lakshmi Kuberaya Namaha 108 x’s and make a Prayer. Be open to Miracles coming into your life.

Call Recording: Maha Lakshmi and Jupiter Transit into Cancer in June

Sundara Maha Lakshmi

Sri Sundara Maha Lakshmi and her Consort Kamala Varadaraja at Arasar Koil Temple close to Chennai was revealed by Satguru Venkataraman Siddha Revelations from Agasthiar.Org. in the 2005-2006 time. This was a dilapidated, neglected temple until then.

Here she is seated in Padmasana and sporting 6 toes on her right foot. Why 6? Six is the number of Venus (Shukra), and she is his Divine Controller. Shukra himself worships here every Friday without fail. What form he assumes is beyond human comprehension. This includes a boon to anyone who might desire the ‘Blessings’ of Shukra and Maha Lakshmi.  The six toes represent that She has the power to control Shukra’s ability to give prosperity.

Prosperity is not just a million dollars in your bank account. A truly prosperous human is one who is ‘Blessed with 64 Aishwaryas or 64 forms of wealth, well- being, and prosperity, each controlled by a different form of Lakshmi Devis. Sri Sundara MahaLakshmi is the root of all of these 64 Lakshmi Devis and if you wish to attain all 64 Aishwaryas, you need to worship her at this temple, so say the Siddhas.

You can recite 24 of her names as mantra pooja. (At www.Agasthiar.org/NKN-2006/08-04.htm website, on Maha Lakshmi’s page, scroll down a little more than 1⁄2 way and these mantras are listed in a blue/green rectangle with an audio to chant along with and or listen to. These are given in 3 forms (Sanskrit, Tamil, English) and you can select which ever appeals to, or feels most comfortable for you.)

This is a perfect shrine for worshipping the Nine Planets (Navagrahas), as they and their consorts worshipped Maha Lakshmi at this shrine in 9 of her different forms. It is highly auspiscious to worship her on Vara Lakshmi Vrata (Boon-giving Lakshmi)(on the 2nd Fridays, Aadi Fridays ( July 15th through August 15th, during Shukra Hora.

Mother Sundara Maha Lakshmi will ‘Bless’ one and all with solutions to their money problems, like poverty, debts, losses in property, courtcases, and other litigation problems.
Also do Tarpanam for your ancestors on the banks of the nearbyPaalar River.

Arasarkoil is Adi Kanchi Keshetra – an ancient sacred site. The doorway to the temple is designed by the celestial architect, Mayan.

~ Vaidya Shakti Garuda is ‘The Divine Healer’ located in front of themain shrine. Maha Lakshmi gave the ‘Svarna Poorna Akshaya Paatra’, The Divine Vessel to Garuda.
~ Hanuman who Helps in Times of Danger is in front of the temple proper.
~ Sri Akshaya Paatra Vinayaka Ganesh, ‘The wealth giving Ganesha’ or Lakshmi Ganapati, is located in front of Maha Lakshmi’s Shrine.
~ Gayatri Vaastu Mandapam Hall is in front of the Lord’s shrine. It contains 24 Gayatri Vaastu Beejakshara Shakti Pillars which are part of the Gayatri Vaastu Hall. These pillars are residences of Siddhas,Rishis, and Divine Beings.

The main sanctum contains Lord Kamala Varadaraja Perumal along with Mother’s Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. He holds the ‘Swarna Sri Kamala Lotus’ (Golden Lotus) in his hand and the great statement:
‘All that happens is Narayana’s doing’ originated here. Lord KamalaVaradaraja dwells inside his devotees.

~ Mother Sundara Maha Lakshmi is seated in Padmasana Lotus posture in her own sanctum. Mother Sundara Maha Lakshmi is the Mother of all wealth and all treasure. This form of the Mother is Adi Moola Lakshmi – the root form of all Lakshmi Avatars. Sundara Maha Lakshmi brims with millions of Kubera Shaktis, Aishwaraya Shaktis, Shukra Shaktis, treasure Shaktis, and prosperity Shaktis. This is the Dhana Lakshmi (Wealth Lakshmi) Avatar Temple. This is a ‘Sri Sookta Dhana Vriddhi’ – Wealth Enhancing Temple. This is a Kubera Sampath Shakti Temple. This Temple is the Adi Moola Lakshmi Peetam, the seat of all wealth with Shaktis of 64 special Lakshmi Avatars. This is the Maha Sri Shakti Temple. This Temple is the cornucopia of all Aishwaya Prosperity Shaktis of the world. This is a Sarva Karya Siddhi Temple – one that helps you to achieve that which you want to achieve.

~ An ideal place for discharging debts to the Rishis, Devas, and Pitris.
~ Special Times for worship: Shukra Shakti Days: Anuradha Nakshatradays, Dwadasi (12th) Tithi (Moon Phase), Fridays, and Venus (Shukra) Horas.  that you can worship both Sundara Maha Lakshmi and her consort Kamala Varadarajar to receive full benefit.~ Mantra Puja is recommended.

Also we can chant: ‘Om Sundara Maha Lakshmi Sameda Dram Dattatriya Siva Baba Namaha’
